 Introducing Lash Collection Created for Breast Cancer Awareness

 Jacksonville, Florida. October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Preparations are underway for the 1st Annual "Look Good as You Should" Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is scheduled for Friday, October 11, 2019, at GA LA CAR Beauty Salon.  There will be an unveiling of THE VIRAL LASH…with Rhinestone Bling, Special Occasion Lash collection designed specifically for Breast Cancer Awareness.

 Gail Carter-Cade of GA LA CAR Beauty Salon takes a personal interest in the health and appearance, and always looking for ways for improvement and to encourage others.  She enjoys hosting encouraging awareness events to help stimulate, rejuvenate a desire to maintain their appearance as it can affect the way we feel about our illness and ourselves. 

  Breast cancer starts when cells in the breast begin to grow out of control. These cells usually form a tumor that can often be seen on an x-ray or felt as a lump. The tumor is malignant (cancer) if the cells can grow into (invade) surrounding tissues or spread (metastasize) to distant areas of the body.  Treatments such as radiation, chemotherapy treatments can be challenging to endure. Some studies suggest that younger women, who represent about 1 out of 9 breast cancer survivors, tend to have depression and stress due to chemical changes caused by cancer treatment.  

  Changes in the way you look, or simply the shock of finding out you have cancer might lead to feeling downhearted.  There are others who may no longer cope well with day-to-day life.  Trouble coping with tiredness, pain, nausea, and other symptoms. Unfortunately, these may become a normal response to coping with cancer. Feeling socially isolated, sad or “empty” mood almost everyday loss of interest or pleasure in activities that were once enjoyed.

 Our theme “Look Good as You Should” will be encouraging to all attendees.  The community will have the opportunity to get one of GA LA CAR Fundraiser Beauty Bundles, which will consist of a salon service (Pink Color Streaks) etc. and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Cancer.  Free Basic Makeover will be available with a pair of Viral Lashes.
